March 9, 2011 - View of Neuschwanstein from Hohenschwangau Castle, Schwangau Germany
It was foggy and rainy the day that this photo was taken. For processing, I cropped it a bit. I converted it to black and white and added the white vignette to add to the dramatics of the fog.
Hohenschwangau was the boyhood home of King Ludwig of Germany. Neuschwanstein was one of several castles he had built although he never really spent any time here. He was declared mentally ill and committed to an institution in 1886, and died one day later under mysterious circumstances.
Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments on my church photo yesterday. It is much appreciated.
Hope everyone has a very good Wednesday!
