April 4, 2011 - Fun in the Sun!
This is part of the Reedy River which runs through downtown Greenville. This area is very popular with locals on pretty days like we had this weekend. There is a park nearby and a walk along the river lined with many shops and restaurants. This man and his children were having fun feeding the ducks. The building is Wyche Pavilion, a favorite locale for weddings, receptions, parties, and large social gatherings. The structure was originally built in 1904 as a brick paint shop for the Greenville Coach Factory. In 1925, the old carriage paint shop building became the first factory for the production of Duke's Mayonnaise.
Thank you so much for the nice comments on my azalea photo yesterday. They are greatly appreciated. Have a great Monday!
